POLICE are hunting a thief who stole food vouchers from a home in Gosport.

A woman was spotted breaking into the flat in St Vincent Road.

A neighbour saw her climb through a window to get in to the ground-floor flat.

The flat’s owner, a 46-year-old man, was out. A mobile phone, cash and food vouchers were taken.

The suspect is a white woman about 5ft 3in tall.

She was slim and aged between her late teens and mid 20s.

The woman wore a black top and black skirt.

She had mousey blonde hair which was down to her shoulders. Police say the burglary happened between 7pm and 7.25pm on July 31.

Details have only just been revealed.

PC Matthew Morgan, from Gosport police station, said: ‘I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has information about the whereabouts of the stolen property.

‘Perhaps you have been offered the food vouchers for sale or recognise the description of the suspect.’
