A WOMAN fought back after being attacked as she walked through a park.

The 33-year-old was grabbed from behind by a man as she strolled through Longbrook Park, in Felpham, Bognor.

The man indecently assaulted the woman but fled after she hit him with her handbag.

The attack happened between 4pm and 4.45pm on September 24 and police are linking it to another similar incident in Flansham Lane, Bognor, on September 18 when a man grabbed a woman but then ran off.

Detective Sergeant Sally Arbuckle, from Sussex police, said: ‘Neither victim has been seriously hurt but both are understandably upset at what happened to them.

‘I would urge women walking in the area to stay vigilant.’
