AN assault victim escaped her attacker – after kneeing him in the groin.

The 28-year-old woman was walking in St Mary’s Road, Fratton, towards Milton Road when a man approached her, grabbed her coat and pushed her against a wall.

She kneed him in the groin and fled at about 10.30am on Tuesday.

PC Lynsey Hayward said: ‘This incident is reported to have occurred in the morning when the area would have been busy. Anyone who saw or heard the incident is asked to contact police.’

The suspect is white, 5ft 9in tall and of an average build with short, light brown hair. He wore a long black coat, blue jeans and trainers.
