WOULD-BE robbers made off empty handed after discovering their victim had nothing to steal.

An 18-year-old was on a bench in Havant Park when two men approached and demanded he hand over his wallet and phone and then proceeded to empty his rucksack.

They left when they realised there was nothing in the bag.

It happened Friday, April 26 at 1.25pm.

The first suspect is white, 20 to 27-years-old, medium build, with very pale skin with short dark hair. He was wearing trainers, dark tracksuit bottoms and a dark hooded top over had a top that had a white hood. He spoke with a distinctive Yorkshire accent.

The second is white, in his early 40’s, of average build and mostly bald,with facial stubble. He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and hooded top with trainers.

Police would like to speak to anyone in the park at this time, particularly two women who were seen walking towards the public toilets.
