YOUNG people will meet to discuss gang violence, anti-social behaviour and legal highs.
Hampshire’s police and crime commissioner Simon Hayes’ youth commission will meet for the first time on Saturday.
The 27 members of the group, aged 14 to 22, will help inform Mr Hayes about youth issues.
He said: ‘The Youth Commission has already played a significant role in helping me engage with young people through the Big Conversation and ensure that the opinions and experiences of young people are heard, responded to and integrated into strategies for safeguarding young people going forward.
‘I am really looking forward to meeting members of the Youth Commission on Saturday and listening to their views on how we can support young people better and strengthen relationships with the police and their local communities across the whole of Hampshire.’
The scheme aims to reduce youth offending and improve relationships with police.
