The Gosporteers held their annual event yesterday and crowds enjoyed walking around in the sunshine seeing the vehicles on display.

Held at Stokes Bay, the show had a range of cars from vintage to classic and modern. There were also motorbikes and stalls for people to enjoy.

Dad-of-two Luke Ford went down with his nine-year-old son Danny.

Luke, from Alverstoke, said: ‘I have always liked cars and it was something for me and Danny to do together.

‘He enjoyed learning about the different varieties and learning the history of some of them.’

Danny added: ‘It has been a fun day. The Beetles were my favourite.’

For Shawn Edwards, 68, coming along to the show is something he does every year.

‘I always look forward to seeing the cars,’ he said.

‘It is fantastic for the Gosporteers to hold it every year.

‘It seems to get bigger and busier which is a good thing. More people should appreciate the cars we have on show.’

The day raises money for the mayor of Gosport’s charities. Normally the show raises thousands of pounds and organiser Brian Russell is hoping for the same this year.

He said: ‘It has been very busy and I am happy with the number of people who have come along.’
