COUNCIL workers joined in the world’s biggest coffee morning in Fareham.
Councillor Trevor Cartwright, the mayor of Fareham, and his wife Ruth attended the offices of Fareham Borough Council for the Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning last week.
It raised around £200 throughout the day.
Fareham MP Mark Hoban also attended.
Cllr Cartwright said: ‘It went very well. The nice thing about it was that there were lots of members of staff there and people made cakes for the day.
‘The staff were coming up and it was nice to see them all.
‘So many people suffer from cancer.
‘This is one of their major fundraisers for the year.
‘It’s money that is vital for research into treatment so this sort of thing is absolutely brilliant.’
