Cycle forum meeting to discuss big road plans

A CYCLING group plans to hold a meeting to discuss a new city centre road scheme.

Portsmouth Cycle Forum will hold its open meeting on February 15.

Members of the public are invited to attend and hear discussions on the scheme, which will see the bottom of the M275 rebuilt.

The project could cost up to £60m and would see dual carraigeways and public spaces created.

The meeting will be held in Lecture Room 2 of the Richmond Building, University of Portsmouth.

Kicking off at 7pm, members of the cycle forum will discuss the big road plans and their assessment of it.

Officers from Portsmouth City Council’s traffic team will also be in attendance.
