A 51-YEAR-OLD man was knocked off his bicycle in a hit-and-run incident.

Timothy Jones was cycling on his way to work at about 6.45am yesterday when he was hit by a red car.

He was leaving Rowner Road and heading towards Grange Road, in Lee-on-the-Solent when he was hit and knocked off his bicycle.

The emergency services were called.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101.
