POLICE are renewing an appeal for information after a cyclist suffered serious leg injuries when he was hit by a van.

As reported, a bicycle and a silver Citroen Berlingo van collided on Eastern Road in Portsmouth near the junction with Langstone Road, at around 5.40pm on Thursday, December 19.

The van driver, a 30-year-old man from Portsmouth, was not injured.

The cyclist, a 49-year-old man from Lancashire, was taken to hospital with leg injuries.

People with information are urged to contact the Roads Policing Unit at Fratton Police Station by calling 101.
