A MULTI-million pound refurbishment of the D-Day Museum has seen it named in the top 10 of best new UK museums and galleries for 2018.

The Guardian listed the Southsea attraction among other sites including V&A Dundee, Royal Academy of Arts in London and Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

The write-up on The Guardian’s website alongside its inclusion in the top 10 said: ‘Following a £4.9m refurbishment, the D-Day Museum will reopen to the public this spring, in preparation for the 75th anniversary in 2019.

‘It will feature new displays and galleries about the Battle of Normandy, focusing on personal stories of those who took part.’
