DEDICATED Duncan Ward is cycling hundreds of miles to raise money for charity.

The brave father-of-two set off from Land’s End, Cornwall on Thursday and is aiming to pedal more than 2,130 miles to reach John O’Groats in Scotland.

Duncan, 48, decided to take on the challenge to raise money for The Haven, a charity that supports people with breast cancer.

Three of Duncan’s friends were diagnosed with breast cancer within 12 months of each other, and Duncan wanted to do something to help The Haven and its new centre in Titchfield.

He said: ‘The diagnosis came as a tremendous shock, and fills me with such sadness at the pain and suffering this terrible disease causes such lovely people. Any donations, big or small, will make me feel like I have support alongside me every turn of the pedals.’
