THE men who risked their lives surveying the beaches for the D-Day landings will be honoured for the final time.

Television historian Dan Snow will lead the memorial to the elite covert surveillance team, the Combined Operations Pilotage Parties (Copp) at the Hayling seafront memorial at 11.30am tomorrow.

The unit was set up by Lord Mountbatten at Hayling Island Sailing Club during the Second World War.

There will be a parade and 1940s music.
