SWELTERING conditions did not deter the quarter of HMS Dragon’s company who tackled a 50-mile relay race in memory of a fallen sailor.
The Mike Till Trophy was introduced in 1983 following the death of the Chief Weapons Mechanic who died onboard HMS Sheffield during the Falklands War.
Each runner takes on one mile of the course. Many completed their runs in under 5mins 33s.
The gruelling event took place in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, with temperatures topping 38C.
