SAILORS on board HMS Lancaster are heading home after a four-day visit to Liverpool.

The Portsmouth-based ship was in the region to pay visit to the city of Lancaster, its affiliated home town.

During her trip she opened up to visitors and some of her ship’s company made the journey to Lancaster for a parade outside the town hall there.

The crew were joined on board affiliates of ship including the Mayor of Lancaster and the Master of the Worshipful Company of Feltmakers.
