For an unknown reason, the carrier’s departure has been postponed.

The 65,000 tonne warship was due to set sail at 1.50pm tomorrow, leaving Portsmouth Naval Base for the very first time.

A new departure date is yet to be announced.

Prince of Wales is the largest warship ever built for the navy, being slightly heavier than her sister ship, HMS Queen Elizabeth.
