SHE may not look it in these pictures, but HMS Ramsey is only a sixteenth of the size of the Type 45 destroyer lurking in the background.
HMS Dragon is one of the Royal Navy’s newest warships, while the other is a 14-year veteran who has spent most of the last six years keeping the waterways of the Gulf safe for shipping.
The two ships are now working side-by-side keeping maritime security in the region.
Taking advantage of the close proximity of the two vessels, sailors from each ship exchanged places for a few hours. They also snapped this photograph.
Able Seaman (Mine Warfare) Daniel Moseley said: ‘It is interesting to see how the other half live.
‘They have a lot more space and more facilities but it is so big you just couldn’t get to know everyone the way you can do on a small ship.’
