A TUDOR artefact from the Mary Rose was blasted into orbit yesterday.

A three-inch wooden ball used to hoist the sails of Henry VIII’s flagship has gone into space on the Endeavour space shuttle.

It was due to happen last month but was delayed due to heating problems on Endeavour.
