TV star Sandi Toksvig, chancellor of the University of Portsmouth, today described the Mary Rose Museum as fantastic.

She said: ‘The museum is bringing a total focus to the historic dockyard.

‘There is so much to see there and the sea runs through our DNA so it’s great we have such a wealth of maritime history.’
