CAKES have been sold to raise money for a nursery at HMS Collingwood.

The sale raised more than £550 for the nursery, called Woodentots, at the Fareham navy base.

Organiser Lieutenant Commander Caroline Thomas-Hoefsmit said the Woodentots Parents Staff Association has 15 members so far.

She said: ‘We are concentrating on fundraising to put money towards plans such as the garden project and activities which will provide enriched learning for the children while they are at Woodentots.’
