PORTSMOUTH MP Flick Drummond is among a small contingent of politicians visiting the Falkland Islands in the run-up to the anniversary of the 1982 conflict.
The Portsmouth South MP is in the country alongside defence secretary Michael Fallon and four other parliamentary representatives.
It comes just weeks before the 34th anniversary of the Falklands War.
The six-day tour is part of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme.
Mr Fallon – former minister of Portsmouth – is the first defence secretary to visit in a decade.
Some 1,400 UK service personnel are stationed in the Falklands.
