Royal Navy divers called to unexploded ordnance found on Gosport shoreline
UNEXPLODED ordnance was found on the shoreline by a member of the public.

The explosive device was found along the seafront in Hardway, Gosport, yesterday afternoon.
Following a 999 call to the coastguard, the area was cordoned off and a bomb disposal team was brought in to deal with the device.

Posting on Twitter about the incident, Hill Head Coastguard Rescue said: ‘Officers established cordon and sent details to E.O.D at Fleet Diving Squadron.
‘[A] bomb disposal team attended and cleared items for disposal.
‘The member of the public did correct thing reporting to #999coastguard.’
