ROYAL Navy divers from minesweeper HMS Middleton have joined the hunt for a missing sailor in Dubai.

The Dubai police plan to use the vessel, which docked in the country on Wednesday, to search the waters around Port Rashid for Timmy MacColl from Gosport.

The ship is expected to be in Dubai for three weeks and has 30 divers on board.

As the search for Timmy enters its fifth week, fears are growing that he could have ended up in the water following a fall.

The dad-of-two vanished after getting into a taxi outside the Rock Bottom Cafe nightclub in the Bur Dubai area in the early hours of May 27. He was heading back to his ship HMS Westminster but never arrived.

His pregnant wife Rachael, 25, and his mother Sheena MacColl, 49, have flown to Dubai to meet with the chief of police as efforts continue to find the 27-year-old.
