A MEMORIAL service has been held in Gosport for a missing sailor.

Leading Seaman Timmy MacColl, 28, disappeared from HMS Westminster while on a port visit to Dubai.

The father-of-three was declared dead by the Royal Navy at the beginning of the month but his body has never been found.

The service was held at St Mary the Virgin Church in Rowner Lane and was led by Canon John Draper.

It was attended by family, friends and naval personnel.
