PEOPLE are being invited to get a first glimpse of a new £4.5m remembrance exhibition.

Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard is working on a collection of artefacts, archives and photographs which will make up the HMS - Hear My Story exhibition.

The doors are being opened for visitors to get a preview of the exhibition on Saturday between 1pm and 4pm.

People will be able to see the artefacts ahead of the exhibition’s opening in the spring of next year. Entrance on the day is free.

Other activities on offer include the opportunity to found out how to research family members who were in the Royal Navy and take part in naval activities such as knot-making.

For more information or to find out how to share your story as part of the exhibition, visit nmrn.org.uk/hms or call (023) 9272 7594.
