PEOPLE are being encouraged to visit the Royal Armouries museum after dark.
The museum, based at Fort Nelson, is taking part in the national Museums at Night programme.
Visitors will be able to discover what Victorian garrison life would have been like on a tour of the fort’s barracks room and kitchen and sample typical food and drink.
Operations manager Nigel Hosier said: ‘We are delighted to be able to provide a unique after-hours experience which enables visitors to travel back in time and sample life as a Victorian garrison, and experience live gun firings.’
The event takes place on Friday, May 13 at 6.30pm and 8pm. Tickets are £15 for adults or £10 for children.
