A COMMEMORATIVE tree will be planted outside a council’s offices to mark the centenary of the start of the First World War.

The Mayor of Havant, Marjorie Smallcorn, will plant the tree in the grounds of the Public Service Plaza in Havant.

The ceremony starts at midday on Monday, December 22.

The tree has been provided by Big Tree Plant. Members of the public are invited to attend.
