THE former minister for Portsmouth has revealed the UK will spend more than £730m on nuclear warheads over the next four years.

Defence minister Michael Fallon said the Atomic Weapons Establishment, which is responsible for the design, manufacture of the nation’s nuclear deterrent, will spend £734m on assembly and disassembly of warheads and £634m on the cost of uranium components.
