A SECTION of the M27 has been cordoned off as police investigate a murder.

The cordon is in place between junction 5 and 7 westbound as officers search the area.

A Hampshire police spokesman said: 'We are making every effort to ensure there is minimal disruption to road users.'

It comes after Shkelzen Dauti, 21, known as Genny, was found dead in Gilpin Close, Southampton, on March 11.

There is also a delay on the motorway this afternoon at junction 9 westbound as a car has broken down. It has been moved to the hard shoulder.

And a lane three westbound between junction 9 for Park Gate and junction 8 is closed due to a crash.
