TRAINS passing through Hilsea are back on schedule after earlier signalling problems.

Routes between Havant and Portsmouth Harbour were effected by up to 40 minute delays amid rush hour, but the problem has now been fixed and trains are running as normal.

During the delay, people with tickets for Southern or South West Trains were able to use their tickets to travel with either firm. Also, Southern passengers were accepted on local bus route 700.

In addition, South West Trains services out of Waterloo Station, London, were delayed by up to 20 minutes as a result of a signalling problem in the Vauxhall. This is also now resolved.

A South West Trains spokesperson said: ‘We are sorry for the disruption that our passengers faced this evening.’
