THE great-great-grandsons of Charles Dickens reached Guildford yesterday on their 75-mile fundraising trek.

Brothers Ian and Gerald Dickens are walking the same route Nicholas Nickleby took from London to Portsmouth in the novel of that name.

They are raising cash for a statue of the writer to go in Guildhall Square, Portsmouth.
