A PUB raised hundreds of pounds to help children with life-threatening or terminal illnesses.

The Rainbow, in Milton Road, Cowplain, hosted a fundraising day on Saturday in aid of the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.

The annual charity day raised £675.

Visitors enjoyed live music, raffles, auctions and inflatable games.

The Rainbow Trust provides emotional and practical support individually tailored to families who have a seriously-ill child.

The charity relies on fundraising for 95 per cent of its income. It helps almost 1,200 families a year across England.

Rainbow Trust’s community fundraiser Nick Searing said: ‘We’re really grateful to everyone at The Rainbow for putting on this fantastic event.

‘It was a great day which raised vital funds for the Rainbow Trust, helping us continue to offer practical support to families facing the most unimaginable circumstances, their child having a life-threatening or terminal illness.’
