Drivers face four months of 50mph limit on M27

DRIVERS are being warned of speed restrictions on the M27.

It comes as the Highways Agency undertakes refurbishment works on the bridge at junction 12 for Portsmouth on the M27.

A statement said: ‘Work to improve journeys by refurbishing a bridge at the junction 12 Paulsgrove Interchange continues this week.

‘Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit will be in place on the M27 east and westbound carriageways until March 2018.

‘The link from the M27 eastbound carriageway to the M275 southbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 11pm and 6am, from Monday 20 November for eight nights (Monday to Friday only).

‘A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M27 eastbound carriageway to the Eastern Road roundabout, around the junction joining the A27 westbound carriageway to access the M275.
