GOVERNORS of a junior school in Gosport are seeking a new member from the community with a head for numbers to join their team.

Elson Juniors, which is rated good by Ofsted, will be losing a much-valued community governor in January whom they hope to replace with a person who can serve on their finance committee.

Carole Gratton, chair of governors, said: ‘We have a very big budget to administer and are very keen to appoint someone with a knowledge of finance.

‘But most important of all, we are looking for someone who places education at the forefront of their mind.

‘At Elson we set high standards and we are always striving to improve.’

Anyone interested in the position should contact the school office on 023 9258 3754.
