Towering ideas as Southsea school pupils take on challenge

Have your say

SCHOOLS have just a week left to get their entries in for a competition to win a share of a £6,000 prize for projects to develop their facilities.

Your school could win a share of £6,000 to be spent on building projects, thanks to The News School Build Challenge. Launched with construction firms Warings and Leadbitter, there are prizes of work to the value of £3,000 for the winner.

There are also prizes of £2,000 for the runner-up and £1,000 to the third-placed school.

The money is being offered to primary schools across the area to support projects.

To enter, write a maximum of 250 words explaining what you would like to have for your school within the budget.

The entries will be sent in to The News and a panel of judges will narrow them down to a shortlist.

Send your entries to Promotions, The News, The News Centre, Hilsea, Portsmouth, PO2 9SX.

Alternatively, you can email your entry to david.hoggarth@thenews.co.uk

The closing date is midday on Monday, June 10.
