THREE authors have chosen to launch their new books at the University of Chichester this month to highlight its status as a leading literary centre.

Tina Smart, Christian DeFeo and Steve Haywood will all present their new books in a series of events that will also give them the opportunity to talk to students about their careers.

The series kicks off on Monday, March 7, with Tina’s semi-autobiographical Tomorrow Insha’allah! about a woman living alone in Morocco.

Next in line, on March 14, is Christian with his book Mister Shah – a thriller that focuses on the innocent victims of the ‘war on terror’. The novel is rare in that it is written by a Western author looking through Islamic eyes.

And finally, on March 21, is former University of Chichester lecturer Steve’s Too Narrow to Swing a Cat Going Nowhere in Particular on England’s Waterways.

The three book launches will take place in the Cloisters Chambers at the university’s Bishop Otter Campus, and will begin at 5.15pm.

Members of the public are welcome to attend any of the launch events, which are free of charge. To confirm your attendance, please email
