THE hard work has paid off for students at Fareham College.

A total of 99.6 per cent of students achieved their BTEC level three qualifications.

And 66 per cent of them achieved high grades with 35 per cent achieving the highest possible qualification.

Matthew Benham, 20, from Lee-on-the-Solent achieved a D*, D, D in music and a grade 8 in guitar and a grade 8 in vocals.

He is going on to the University of Hertfordshire to study Music Composition for Film and Video Games.

He said: ‘I am ecstatic. I didn’t expect to do this well but I worked hard.’
