SCHOOLCHILDREN were treated to a day of feeding and petting farm animals.

Miller’s Ark Animals travelled to Roberts Day Nursery in Landport to spend time with the youngsters.

They were joined by pupils from Arundel Court School and the children had the chance to feed sheep, goats, piglets, geese, rabbits and chicks.

Nursery manager Katy McFarlane said: ‘The children were delighted to see the animals and get the opportunity to pet them.

‘Learning where food comes from is an essential part of developing healthy children and seeing them this close inspires their interest and provides an exciting experience.’
