PROSPECTIVE new students enjoyed a circus day at Fareham College.
The college held a themed open day to show young people the different courses on offer.
People had the chance to find out more about courses including music and performing arts, travel and tourism, hair and beauty, engineering and automotive, and sport.
Deputy principal Peter Marsh said: ‘The day is a fantastic opportunity for us to show all the amazing things that happen in the college in what we hope is a real fun environment.
‘People can see everything from our motor vehicle workshops through to our talented musicians.
‘There are a wide range of industries out there. What’s lovely is seeing young people coming through the door preparing to be engineers and artists.’
There was a big tent outside where a band performed live music and students showed off activities that they take part in at the college in their classes.
And Mr Marsh said the college felt the circus theme would be a good way to draw in potential new students.
‘The performing arts students have been studying a circus theme for the whole term.
‘We thought we would use that as a hook for the whole college event.’
