VISITORS to the Cascades shopping centre have been enjoying a colourful window display of female icons and other paintings created by talented GCSE students.

The City of Portsmouth Girls’ GCSE artworks have taken pride of place in an unused outlet next to the BHS store – and are already stopping passers-by in their tracks.

Georgie Boxall, 16, has contributed four pieces including paintings of singer Liza Minnelli and reality show star Kat Von D. She said: ‘It’s so nice to see all our art works on display. I’m really pleased with how the window looks.’
