ADULT courses in a childcare, teaching, IT and a range of other specialist areas will be available at a discounted rate thanks to a £100,000 funding boost to a Gosport college.
St Vincent College’s additional cash from the Skills Funding Agency means it will be able to support more than 200 extra students who enrol by the end of May.
Lisa Rhodes, the college’s director for adult provision, said: ‘These programmes will be starting in the next few weeks and will enable many more adults to gain new skills and qualifications to help them towards progressing at work or gaining a job. The additional funding means that the fees for some courses can be discounted by up to 100 per cent.
‘We have a great variety of courses to offer, from short one or two-day courses, where people can brush up their skills to longer programmes delivered over six months or more.’
