AN astrophysicist will discuss the secret to understanding the beginning of the universe in an upcoming talk.

Rob Crittenden, professor of cosmology at the University of Portsmouth, has spent his career studying the nature and structure of the universe, particularly in regard to the role light plays in helping us understand how the Big Bang might have begun.

The talk, which takes place tonight, from 6pm to 7pm, is open to the public.
