PARENTS in Portsmouth are being reminded to get their school applications in.

For children who live in Portsmouth and are due to start school in September, parents have until Thursday, January 15 to apply.

This is for children born between September 1, 2010, and August 31, 2011.

For children moving up to junior school in September, parents also have until Thursday, January 15, to apply for a place.

Parents have the option to log in and change it at any time before midnight on the closing date and they will receive an email notification of the outcome on allocation day next year.

Alternatively call (023) 9268 8008 to request a form.

Late applications will affect parents’ chances of getting a place at their preferred school.
