A SCHOOL in Cosham took on European proportions when teachers from the continent stopped for some top tips on an English education.

Medina Primary hosted teachers from Bulgaria, Germany, the Czech Republic and France over two days.

The guests observed lessons across the curriculum, got involved in activities and spent time with teachers and children exchanging anecdotes about how schools abroad compare.

Headteacher Howard Payne, said: ‘It’s been great fun and a nice change for the children who have enjoyed quizzing the teachers about their countries and learning some new foreign words and expressions!

‘The teachers themselves remarked on how well behaved our children were and they were very impressed with our computer facilities, which was nice to hear.’

The visit formed part of the foreign teachers’ professional development training.
