A SCHOOL has hosted a Christmas party for senior citizens.

Henry Cort Community College, in Fareham, put on its annual celebration for care home residents. This year, more than 50 students were involved in organising the day.

Year 10 catering students cooked and served a variety of treats and talented musicians provided the entertainment for around 40 guests.

Principal Phil Munday said: ‘Each year our staff, students and guests thoroughly enjoy it. This year was no exception.’

Guests were greeted and accompanied to the Cort Theatre, where they were welcomed by students who sat with them.

There was a full programme of entertainment, including several musical items, a gymnastic display, monologues and singing.

The party started with a game of bingo and ended with a raffle and a visit from Father Christmas, when each guest was given a gift.
