THE MP for Fareham will open a new employment hub at Fareham College next month.

Mark Hoban will open the new building on February 1. The purpose-built facility will give jobseekers access to iPads, enabling them to find jobs tailored to their requirements.

Mr Hoban said: ‘The need for colleges to firm up the link between study and employment has never been more important.

‘The labour market is very competitive and employers want a responsive recruitment service that reduces the time and cost of getting the right person for them. This initiative by Fareham College is just what students need to support them getting into employment during and after study.’

Nigel Duncan, principal of the college, said: ‘We have an extensive network of employers that regularly contact us looking for employees in all walks of life.’
