STAFF and pupils at Wicor Primary school are preparing to mark their 50th anniversary.

Wicorfest will be held at the school next Thursday, July 12, from 6pm. Former members of staff will be invited back to the school for a reception and pupils will give them a guided tour.

In the evening, a festival will take place with former pupils performing in their own bands.

Refreshments on sale include hog roast and curry and there will be a licensed bar.

Tickets are available at the school office or on the night.

They are £5 for those aged 14 and over, £2.50 for children aged between five and 14, and under-fives go free.

All money raised will go towards the school’s outdoor learning environment.
