IT WAS all smiles as students from Bay House School in Gosport picked up their GCSE results this morning.

Pupils lined in the hall eager to get their grades.

Ben Cogdell, 16, from Gosport, got two As, five Bs, five Cs and two Ds.

He said: ‘I wasn’t that nervous getting them and I am happy with what I got. I did better than expected in some of the subjects.’

Ben is going on to study computing at Fareham College.

Bay House got their best ever results with their A* to C at 79 per cent. Their results for A* to C including maths and English increased from 62 per cent last year to 73 per cent this year.
