Students at Cams Hill School in Fareham were thrilled when they opened their GCSE results this morning.

Results were up eight per cent from last year, with 70 per cent of students obtaining A*-C grades including maths and English.

Many students had done better than predicted including twins Alice and Hannah Millett, pictured, who achieved 5A*s between them.

Hannah, 16, remarked “I’m happy with what I got. I’m particularly happy with maths. My target was a B so I’m really happy I got an A!”

Hannah achieved 1A* and 7As, Alice got 4A*s, 3As and a B.

Acting Headteacher, David Lowndes, said “ We are delighted with the GCSE results this year.

This is a particularly pleasant, upbeat and hard-working group of students who thoroughly deserve their GCSE success.

I would like to wish them continued good progress, good luck and happiness in the future.”
