Henry Cort Community School in Fareham saw its gold standard result, for five A* A-C, including English and maths, jump from 44 per cent last year to 63 per cent this year - which is also its highest ever score by four per cent.

Headteacher Phil Munday said: ‘We’re very chuffed, and we’re chuffed for the students in particular as it will open up the courses they can have access to.’
